"Before the Bardo (Kolo Dance)" is Lomira’s alternative to Taps. It is a funerary tribute for every soul.

This recording was made at a flag folding ceremony in a North American forest in March 1732. We were able to affix a contact microphone to the soul as it entered Bardo, and documented a few split seconds of sound before the microphone was annihilated. We slowed this brief moment down to a comprehensible speed for our listeners.

The melody heard here is the soul’s final memory from its last lifetime.
